The meaning of Islam

ISLAM in the Arabic language is derived from the Arabic word SALAM, which means peace. The literal meaning of Islam is submission/peace/obidience. The religious meaning of Islam is complete submission to the will of Allah and the Laws of Allah .

The message of Islam

The basic message of islam which one must believe in to be a Muslim is that There is no one worthy of worship but Allah and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah .

Other beliefs of a Muslim

Muslims believe in one God, angels, books, prophets, day of judgement and life after death.

Allah

The word Allah in Arabic means God. We muslims address God by the name of Allah as chosen by God.

Muhammad

Muslims believe that Muhammad is the last prophet of Allah and there shall be no other prophets after him.

The Quran

Muslims believe that the Quran is the word of Allah . It was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad by Allah through the Angel Jibrael (Gabriel) .
